THE PROBLEM

The Vans Warped Tour’s brand is almost nonexistent. It consists only of a single logo that is repurposed & adapted to different design trends year-by-year.

THE PROCESS

Taking inspiration from the sticker bombed walls of punk venues to the haphazard typography of show flyers, I created a logo that invokes the frantic feeling of the punk scene using ransom note-esque typography & an overall visual identity that’s reminiscent of the vibrant hair and rough style of CBGB’s in the 80s

THE PRODUCT

A brand identity that the Warped Tour can call its own, incorporating classic punk imagery from the 1970s & 80s in hopes of sparking a resurgence of the punk rock scene by tapping into nostalgia.
